Our Little Man, Lawson

Lawson Whitaker, son of Kristin and Troy Whitaker

Lawson Gage Whitaker is our son, our little man. Little man was our nickname for him because even though he was almost two, he looked like he was almost three. Big and strong and turning into a handsome little boy, with bright blue eyes and curly hair.

He loved big and was loved beyond words, and he knew it. His personality radiated happiness, joy, fearlessness, and a light that shined so brightly to anyone who came into contact with him.

I’m so thankful and proud to be Lawson’s mom. Thank you, Lawson, for what you gave to me, to your sister Addison, to your daddy – while you were here for nearly two magnificent years. The best years of my life. I am proud, humbled and blessed to be your mom, to have carried you in this body and to call you my son until the day I die.

You are a beautiful soul and made our lives better every day with your constant happiness and infectious laugh. We watched your sister become a “big sis” and take care of you in her own way and your dad and I would catch ourselves eyeing each other with pride at the two of you and dreaming of the future. And now, I relish those memories and make new ones dreaming of you in heaven spreading your joy and infectious laughter to others.

You deserve a legacy just as bright as your life. A life that was overflowing with love from your parents, sister, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, family, friends and anyone you came into contact with.

We love you.
